Point of contact
It is necessary for any interviews to be conducted with organisations to get in contact early and arrange for date and time. This will be of benefit especially if something does not go according to plan. Contacting these organisations, would require the need to take in consideration that they are usually busy and will be providing us with assistance,not the other way around. So a knock-back might be a possibility and we need to be respective of their decision.
I learnt this the first week of the research task! I tried contacting WWF with an email to their office in Australia and followed up with a phone call. They politely notified me that they were unable to to take student interviews at the moment as they were really busy during this period of the year. Now a new organisation is needed. Possible organisations with a similar approach include:
